Who is GAHP

Generic Art History & Promotion is an association established by Andrea Albertini and Alessio Fransoni in Italy in the Summer 1999. Since then the association has worked as a collective artist and art critic using different media: paintings, digital pictures, installations, performances, videos, conferences, lectures, theoretical writings, art curating, web projects.

GAHP's activity is focused on the analysis of the the processes of value creating (artistic value, then social value in general) and of the role played by some conceptual devices – i.e. the telling of the history of art – in these processes. GAHP project as a whole is to make art history as art, and art as art history.

GAHP is currently constituted by four members: Andrea Albertini, Alessio Fransoni, Michele Tanghetti, Ilaria Valbonesi.
