Civil society organisations play a critical role in translating policies, evidence, and national priorities into locally grounded action. In Uganda, they are central to raising awareness of pollution, engaging communities, and supporting coordinated responses to pollution challenges that affect health and livelihoods.

This webinar, organised under the Environmental Pollution Programme in Uganda, will explore how civil society organisations in Kampala are contributing to pollution management and community awareness, with a focus on health impacts on women, children, and vulnerable communities.

Webinar Objectives

  • To foster knowledge sharing among government stakeholders, public and private sector stakeholders, CSOs, and international organizations on pollution impacts on awareness campaigns in Kampala, Uganda.

  • To share findings and insights from Civil Society Awareness on state of pollution in Uganda.

  • To emphasize the health impacts of pollution on women, children, and vulnerable communities.

  • To highlight the role and impact of civil society organisations in community engagement and awareness in tackling pollution at the grassroot level.
