Pollution is the world’s largest environmental cause of disease and premature death, demanding informed, cross-sectoral leadership to protect people and the planet. Guided by its mission to improve health by addressing pollution, the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) is deepening its commitment to education and capacity strengthening through renewed academic collaboration.
GAHP and the University of Geneva (UNIGE) have renewed their partnership to deliver the module “Chemicals and Health: Navigating Pollution, Toxic Exposure, and Sustainable Solutions” as part of the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Public Health programme.
The module aims to equip mid-career professionals with the knowledge and tools to understand the health impacts of chemicals and pollution, assess exposure risks, and design evidence-based, health-protective policies. This collaboration contributes to developing future public health leaders with the expertise to tackle pollution-related issues effectively.
