2026 Ssa Forum Cover

The Sub-Saharan Regional Pollution Forum is convened by the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) in collaboration with regional partners and is funded by UK International Development from the UK government through the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

Taking place from 16 to 17 June 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, the Forum brings together policymakers, technical experts, civil society, academia, and development partners to address multiple pollution challenges - air pollution, chemical pollution, waste minimisation, and waste management. Through structured dialogue and knowledge exchange, the Forum provides a platform to demonstrate how evidence-based data and research can inform policy and drive effective solutions, while enabling countries across the region to share experiences, learn from one another, adapt successful approaches to their own contexts, and explore opportunities for regional action.
